In 2012, the foundation of Urgiles Brothers Excavating Inc was laid by siblings Ivan Urgiles and Jose Urgiles. Prior to starting their own business, both Ivan and Jose had decades worth of experience in the industry working as truck drivers and managing dump sites. Working on the frontlines enabled them to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the complexities related to such operations. Fueled by this expertise, they embarked on a journey to establish a company that could provide top-tier solutions for construction projects - a vision they have since realized. Throughout the years, Urgiles Brothers has solidified its standing in the industry, undertaking prominent projects such as multiple Amazon sites and the York Region Transit system. Equipped with a fleet of cutting edge machinery, in conjunction with a skilled workforce, Urgiles Brothers has attained the capacity to deliver major infrastructure projects on time and on budget.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Ivan spearheads project oversight, managing tasks from inception to fruition. He maintains a proactive communication channel with clients throughout the project lifecycle, prioritizing their needs and resolving any concerns promptly. His meticulous approach ensures well-organized projects, consistently meeting high standards of efficiency and quality.

Bringing a robust thirty years of experience to Urgiles Brothers, Jose Urgiles infuses every project with his extensive expertise. Adopting a hands-on management style, Jose dedicates the majority of his time onsite, personally steering the crew and supervising project advancements. His proactive involvement guarantees meticulous oversight at every project phase, facilitating smooth coordination and quick decision-making. With his deep involvement, he maintains a strong connection with the teams onsite, and ensures that the project stays on track.

Joe Goulart contributes over three decades of strategic planning and operational leadership acumen to our organization. His profound knowledge in sewer and watermain infrastructure positions him as a pivotal figure in the successful completion of our projects. He plays an integral role in orchestrating the entirety of the construction lifecycle. You can trust him to deliver outstanding results while maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the process.

Project Manager

A key asset to the team since 2016, Alex Urgiles thrives in his role as a Project Manager, steering a wide range of projects to success. He manages timelines, and ensures that all work is being completed according to the project plan and scope. Furthermore, Alex handles the logistical planning related to various operations. He ensures that materials and equipment get from point A to point B as scheduled. His strong interpersonal skills have allowed for methodical coordination and communication with suppliers, sub-contractors and customers, as they work together to enable innovation and efficiency.
