FINCH WEST LRT

Urgiles Brothers has proudly contributed to the development of two vital transit stops in Northwest Toronto, showcasing our expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects. Over the course of this extensive collaboration, we performed the excavation, hauling, and safe disposal of over 190,000 m³ of materials, including fill, contaminated soils, and asbestos. Our team also executed the demolition and removal of approximately 16,000 m² of hard surfaces, including sawcut and asphalt, followed by the precise backfilling and compaction of 12,000 m³ of granular materials.

Our work was met with strong satisfaction from our client, leading to additional responsibilities beyond the initial scope. These included meticulous landscaping and civil works, such as the supply and installation of cast-in-place concrete, sub-base and base preparations, and the installation of PVC pipes, a sanitary force main sewer, and multiple maintenance manholes. We also undertook critical tasks like excavation for electrical ducts, cutting of piles below grade, and the installation of subdrains, roof drain pits, and weeping tiles.

This long-term project reflects our commitment to excellence, reliability, and innovation, as we worked closely with our client to deliver high-quality results that support improved connectivity and strengthen the transit network for the community.
